Supposedly Geico has resolved this issue. All previously cancelled policies are being reinstated. It was a mistake. They made a formal statement.

If they haven’t reached out to you, you should contact them. The rates are supposed to be similar to whatever you had before.

I went with State Farm. They had better rates than GEICO anyway. So I am kind of glad this happened. It’s saving me almost $400 a month by switching.
