It would be convenient to get Tesla insurance at time of ordering before delivery. My concern is these times it has yelled at me for no reason at all and that would make the cost higher. I do use FSD all the time even though it slows me down to 37 mph in a posted speed limit of 60 mph when there is no one infant of me coming and goin.

i had a terrible experience with them. ended up dumping it and going with Travelers, who has my other cars and home for 190$ a month. Tesla insurance started off at like 150. but i play late hockey games. you get your safety score dinged for driving post 10pm. so next month it went up over 200$. then i drive less in a month and it drops back down a bit. then i take a road trip and the next month its almost 300$, then back down to 190. its just stupid the way they do it. its like its monitoring everything and adjusting it the next month. like i took the road trip. it went fine. why are you charging me for it a month later. it was annoying as fuck so i ditched it and just stuck with the normal rate. my wife also has it for her model Y. a deer hit her back quarter panel. it took 3 months for the body show to work out the details with the tesla insurance and get it paid for. again, way to long to deal with. pass for me. i prefer my insurance isnt monitoring every detail of my driving and how long and what time of day im doing it.

I would go with the best cheapest quote annual long term.

Rumors out there that some insurance companies are dropping Tesla CT due to lack of vehicles (sales) on the road or something with available parts or such?

Probably fake news.

I can relate to driving after 10 PM to play drop in hockey at the Ice House in Houston which was .an hour away, Once, I just hopped in the car afterwards about midnight and got stopped for running a stop sign in my neighbor hood. Always wondered what the cop thought when I got out the car with all that hockey gear on. And, you will like this one: It was an afternoon drop in game and who was there on. the ice with us. Gordy Howe and his two sons. They were warming up before the season's practices started with the Houston Aeros.

I’ve looked into Tesla Insurance too, and while the convenience is nice, the driving score system can definitely be frustrating, especially when it dings you for things you didn’t do. I’ve compared it with Trexis Insurance, and in my case, Trexis offered more predictable rates without constant monitoring.

I checked with my State Farm insurance agent, and she confirmed that they were not dropping any Cybertruck policies...... just because it's a Cybertruck.

That's one of the reasons that I like insurance companies that still have local agency offices. I could literally walked into the office, and talked to a real person about my insurance. (y)
