On older Model S this was a known arear to start degrading from getting in a out of the vehicle. Now it is stating on my 5-month-old CyberTruck. Yoi would think that Tesla would have learned to fix this issue by now, Anyone else having this problem?

That looks like a cut or gouge. Do you wear keys or something else on your right hip?

If/when mine is starting to wear, I'll put a bit of gaff tape on that spot to keep it from getting more damage.

I only see two engineering improvements for that wear point.

1. Change the material to one that that is tougher and more wear resistant. The downside of this one is that the material would likely be harder and less "friendly" to touch, plus the same change might be needed for other trim pieces for a consistent look and feel.

2. Change the shape of that corner to have a much larger radius so that the wear surface is larger and further away from objects that might touch it. This would be a relatively expensive change in tooling for the underlying structure as well as a change in the trim design, I suspect. Also, when the door is closed the trim wouldn't look less attractive because the adjoining door trim wouldn't meet it as nicely.

Are you a bigger guy? I have Easy Entry to push the wheel all the way in and up and then my seat pushes forward so I can turn and step out of the truck. Alternatively, I get in and then my seat goes back to the my driving position and wheel comes down and out. Maybe something to change up to see if you still rub against that corner on exit.

People, please don't be gullible. The point of this thread is to get a misleading thread title, one that makes Cybertruck look cheaply made, and then keep it at the top of the thread feed for as long as possible.

Nobody with an ounce of common sense can mistake a physical gouge in the soft-touch trim material for "peeling". But the intent is to keep that "peeling B-pillar trim" at the top of the recent threads for as long as possible. This thread will die out if people stop responding to it.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if it said "gouged" instead of "peeling".

That is how my easy entry and exit are setup. I think I have a solution. I will post it when it is done

My dog tore my C pillar that’s how I know.
Can one buy the gray interior panels? I dislike the white ones.

Habe the identical issue with my truck on both sides. It happens when the back of the pants hit the b-pillar during entry into the vehicle. No gouging! Just fabric touching that corner. The plastic there is too soft, and, in my opinion not strong enough for normal wear and tear!
