So I noticed some damage to the trim in the backseat. Just bought the truck on 29th. I live alone and I've never put anything back there or had anyone even sit back there. Is there some rule where if it's not caught in first 100 miles they don't fix it? I live about 45 miles away so right there I was almost half way done.

Take photos, report with in first week. Doesn't have to be FIXED, just reported. Tesla has been phenomenal with fixing all my little interior finds. I just recently found a small pinhole in the white dash piece, 5 months after I delivered, they replaced the dash piece. I also make sure I leave a message trail with SC, aside from the service visit request photos. I usually say what occurred like, "will not repair dash console this visit, but advisor agreed to complete on follow up visit".

Several people have reported this type of damage as well. I wonder who's assembly station is the culprit lol.

And why they aren't catching it during QC.

I JUST had this same issue fixed on Tuesday. I just uploaded the picture via the app and an appointment was scheduled. Granted Tesla service appointments are a pain in and of themselves (at least where I am), but there was no issue in them fixing it.

They said it will not be fixed under warranty. I haven't even had it for 4 full days. This is kinda not cool.

Can you try a different SC? That's pretty weird... i would push harder and ask for a reason this SC won't repaid. Fremont has been unbelievable with my repairs. I had a chip in my windshield, they just replaced the windshield.

Kill them with kindness but be persistent. It will all work out.

I figured since one declined to fix it they all would. I can try, sucks that the next one is almost twice the distance.

Na. Don't get discouraged. Remember, squeaky wheel gets the grease. If you are confident that it came from factory that way, be assertive, be diligent, but be respectful...Not a cheap truck, get what you paid for.

I have no doubts it will get resolved.

If nothing else, just say that I saw a Cybertruck that exploded and didn't have this trim damage like mine does! ?

I had basically the fact same thing when I took delivery on Dec 10. Mine is on the driver side rear door.

I have an appt on Jan 7 to fix it.

The delivery manager told me it was bc they ship the wheel covers in the back seat and sometimes it damages the trim. He said they’ve told the factory not to do it but they still do.

This would make sense to me bc nobody I have met from July or older has seen that. I actually JUST got my wheel covers last week.

I could be wrong. And if true you should be able to use the wheel covers to align to indentation and prove it was shipped that way.
