Aaaand now Joshua Tree is closed in September due to extreme fire risk.

So no camping for us 😢💔

BTW, love the setup. Best cybertruck camping setup I’ve seen so far.

I guess a better way I should have asked. What is the total height with the rooftop tent? The supercharger I use is in a parking garage with a height of 6’5”. Will I fit with this setup?
It seems our tent may not work for your parking garage. The total height with the rooftop tent is 6'7" with Low air setting, and with the Inspired Overland low-profile version, it's around 6'5".

Thanks for the shoutout! 🙌 Our goal is to enhance the Cybertruck outdoor experience with high-quality, affordable accessories that combine style and functionality. Tesla rates their 4-crossbar set at 440 lbs, and we adhere to that for safety.

Here’s a breakdown:
  • 440 lbs dynamic off-road load capacity
  • 600 lbs maximum on-road rating
  • 800 lbs static load rating
Our rack weighs in at 140 lbs. We've tested it with three people (170 lbs, 180 lbs, and 195 lbs) plus a 115 lb Yakima tent and a 35 lb Starlink with mount. Check out the photo to see it in action!
Hope this helps!

Must you have the roof rack installed to install the canopy or.can the canopy mount directly to the truck?

The 270-degree awning mounts securely to our bed rack kit, which provides a stable, flat surface. This design ensures reliable performance and durability, similar to setups used with ICE trucks.
This is how it looks when closed. Hope this helps!

Understood but disappointed. I don't need the rack but the canopy would be nice to unfurl at car shows to provide shade. Please consider making some mounting points specifically for the canopy so it can be attached directly to the truck using the upper 2 mounting points and a side bar between them. That should be plenty to support the canopy.

Hey! We topped off at the Tesla Supercharger in Yucca Valley before heading to Black Rock too—it’s a great spot! We did some off-roading to Eureka Peak. It’s a pretty easy and fun trail, with amazing views, but it gets dusty! If you have anything in the bed, I’d recommend covering the gap between the tailgate and bed—we used paper towels later, and it worked, lol. We ended up washing the truck in Service Mode to deflate the rear suspension and clean out the bed.

What happens to the outlet cover when you plug a fridge plugged in next to it? I'm worried during a drive the fridge will bump into the cover and break it.

If the fridge's right corners are up against another box and it doesn’t rotate, the cover should be totally fine. Hope this helps!

Thanks. I feel like Tesla should have made the little door sliding or able to flap back flush when open. Doesn’t make sense to have that little plastic piece jutting out waiting to be snapped.

Looks amazing. Inspired to do the same. Joshua tree is definitely within my short trip radius.
