I can't find the recent thread where someone posted a pic of their bed and noted the 2 jumpseats. I remember him saying he doesn't have the tailgate shield and doesn't need the jumpseats anchored when using them on the tailgate.

That got me thinking about buying the OEM jumpseats...but I came across the Crazy Creek Hex 2.0 foldable chair that rolls up. I'm thinking of getting these since they're cheaper and I could store them in the bin under my rear seats.

Has anyone tried these seats: https://crazycreek.com/collections/hex-2-0/products/hex-2-0-original-chair?variant=44499742359868

I keep my jump seats attached to my Molle racks on either side. You can use them without tailgate pad thing, they just won't be anchored to the tailgate but unless you are moving I don't see how that's important for sitting. The pad allows you to store them on the tailgate, but again if you have somewhere else to store them like the Molle racks then you really don't need the pad...

Thanks for the pic and confirming they work well without the tailgate shield.

Overall, you like / happy with them?

Yeah I've used them a few times. I wish someone made some sort of legs/frame for them so you could use them outside of the truck without having to set them on the ground, which you can do, but using more like a real chair would be cool. When I get some extra time I may design something. But for setting them on the tailgate, sitting in them and watching fireworks, etc. yes they are comfortable and work well for that scenario. Are they overpriced from Tesla? Sure, but I actually like the hardshell backs as those are what help protect them when hanging in the bed of the truck.
