I sat in mine a couple times and I think there are tbh. It’s not gonna be the thickest cushion but some general padding can do
Maybe. We sit in ours all the time and maybe it is a subjective thing. I recently got a cushion to sit on and it definitely seems like a back pillow that thick wouldn’t work and still be an effective seat.

Dammit!! Thanks for your post. I had $200 left on my voucher so went with jump seat, but completely overlooked the Tailgate Shield. I honestly never even thought about the mounting ?‍♂. I am excited to see what you think, I was also curious about the back support, hope that corner fabric is a strong material.
Voucher has to be used all in one shot?

Just received two jump seats. I’m not sure about the back rest. If it’s not leaning up against anything, how much weight can it actually take. I sat on the floor in it and went back about 4-5 inches I’m just not sure how far back or for how long it will last without tearing the side mesh. I have to think it’s much more durable than it seems. Anyone else have these that can speak on it. I still have to get the Tailgate Shield so I can attach the chairs to it.

Hi team
Yes I got them 3 days ago the only thing I didn’t like it should have a removal strap to secure them

It seemed pretty obvious to me that the tailgate protector was required but I agree that they should have made it abundantly clear. When they were first announced the tailgate protector was in stock but the jump seats had already sold out so I got the protector with the assumption that when the seats became available I'd already have it. I still haven't attached either.

Was I high or did I read you can do up to 3 across? If that's true, the cart would only let me add 2. I have 3 kids so ?

received one jump seat today and promptly sending it back... as mentioned, the back has no support. I had to prop the back up against a wall so that it would not lean back and the wall ended up chewing up the rubber exterior in about 30 minutes of usage. What a disappointment. I don't see how anchoring these down from the bottom will make a difference.

Has anyone tried using these in the frunk? I assume the depth in the frunk would allow them to “lean” on the back for support to be comfortable for use. I know you can’t mount them to anything in the frunk so they’d just be sitting there but seems like it would work well.

Anyone that own them tried that out by chance?

I see someone said there wasn’t enough room for the back cushion in the frunk but I don’t quite understand what that means?
The frunk isn't very deep so adding a cushion for the back 'might' not allow enough remaining room to sit comfortably. I haven't tested this hypothesis.

it was pretty clear from the item picture that they were attached to the tailgate pad which makes them awkward to use without an attachment point.
