Just got my VIN!!! For order placed 12/21

I’m 12/12 order in socal. That’s crazy they went a whole 9 days ahead of my order date and gave you a vin!

Congrats though!! Man I can’t even tell how this queue works at all. For all I know I’ll be waiting till end of March

I agree. I have no idea how it works. Also, my VIN number is 354 lower than greggertruck who got his VIN yesterday. His is 2212, mine is 1834. ??

I ordered the CyberBeast and haven't read anyone taking delivery of one of those yet... :/ I wish there was a rhyme or reason to VIN assignments. I also hear it might be up to 6 weeks after the VIN was assigned :/

Thanks. I agree and think that’s the discouraging aspect of it all is there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to VIN assignment that we know of. I like everyone else assumed, I believe rightfully so, that it was at least going by order date but that even isn’t the case.

I feel for you and the other CyberBeast owners because of the lack of communication. If Tesla just explained why they were prioritizing AWD and when Beast VIN assignments should begin at least everyone waiting would know what’s going on. It wouldn’t make the wait any easier, but at least take the daily VIN anticipation away.

My hope is that they’ll soon be hitting their production stride and start increasing the number of trucks they complete so everyone waiting for VINs and trucks will get them in their projected window. It’ll be nice to see Beast owners start putting their range, towing and quality reviews on the forum.

Been posting and responding here for awhile while trying to be patient. An owner recently posted he took delivery at my local service center. I figured I’d go by and ask a few questions and if I’m lucky, catch a glimpse of the truck waiting to be delivered. It was parked on the back looking absolutely beautiful so I continued to the entrance. Had the red notification dots on my email app so I open it not even thinking about the truck and staring back at me was the email I had been waiting 56 days for! Still in complete disbelief. Got VIN #1834. Reserved on night of event in 2019, order placed on 12/21, in California and VIN issued today.

Bwahhaahhaaaa. I went down to Dublin and asked when for 12/22 order. They laughed and said so so sorry. It will be a really long time. Maybe end of year or next. I said I reserved 11/19 but order a foundation. 12/22/23 and they still said so so sorry. Nobody but 12/8 and 12/9 will get a truck and mostly only employees. Soooo there you go. Real world facts. Don't believe shit until you yourself get word. Peace out. Res#11766, AWDFS ordered 12/22/23 1k down plus original 100. Not a thing since.

I can understand saying they’ve only delivered to 12/8-12/9 orders but I haven’t heard of any service staff being able to accurately estimate when someone can expect delivery. When I spoke with Tesla folks at Dublin, they said reservation holders have more information than us at this point. That was 3-4 weeks ago. My RS 11275*** Cyberbeast FS is on hold. I might have a LONG wait ahead of me. I can wait. I’m in no rush, but I’m definitely sorry for what you heard from them. Hope you get your AWD soon.

No, not all of us want it so bad. It looks like there are a few reservation holders that, I'm embarrassed to admit, are afraid of the stainless-steel body panels developing orange rust specks. This does not make Tesla fans look like the smartest new vehicle buyers in the room.

We have tried to tell them it's just industrial pollution, specs of iron landing on the surface and getting wet, and that this happens on painted cars too. but there are a few who must have big imaginations and are still afraid it's a real problem. They say things like "We need more data" or "This must be why all the early deliveries are only going to warm and drier climates, to hide the problem". You can't make this stuff up!

Myself, I want this breakthrough vehicle under my butt for testing so bad I don't think a parade of a thousand angry coal-rolling diesel trucks circling the delivery center with black clouds of thick smoke enveloping everything could keep me away!
