For me, it's a $20,500 difference. I ordered the FSD for $7k. I got my invite on Dec. 8th and still haven't decided what to do. With the rumors of 20k Foundation to be made and the news story today with Tesla only having enough batteries for about 24k CT this year. Might not see the standard version until the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.
Guys, LG and Panasonic are on track to start mass producing 4680s mid next year

It looks like Tesla is about running out of YOLO & FOMO customers and exhausted the RN 112xxxxxx series. RN 113xxxxxx holders may be next… hold on to your seat and wallet, folks! ;)

My friend had already received his invite to order and we both pre-ordered nearly the same time over 4 years ago. We both live in Texas. I've owned multiple Teslas, have Powerwalls and a universial connector installed but I have yet received an invite. I have noticed people with later RN #s than mine and live outside of Texas and Cali have already received their invites to configure their Cybertrucks:(
Is Tesla skipping me because of that one time I took a carrot stick from the employee lounge while waiting for my Tesla at the Service Center?!? I swear, I won't do it again ???

I am RN 1129 and haven't gotten the email so I don't think they have exhausted anything yet.

Looks like RN113s have started to go out, at this point it looks like they may go through the whole list and sell a year or twos worth of production of Foundation Series

It’s crazy now that I got the invite for the founders I’m hesitant on pulling the trigger. The $20k extra just seems pointless
The "extra $20k", in addition to sooner delivery, gets you $15k+ stuff with the AWD and $20K stuff with Beast. Tax credit eligibility is the main quantitative variable for prospective AWD buyers:

Was thinking about this. If this is the case then the pricing they show on the site to the public right now would be false advertising, no? They would effectively be selling the vehicle All-Wheel Drive and Cyberbeast configurations at $20k more than they are advertising, locked in for a year or more. For this reason, I don't think that'll be the case. I expect regular sales to begin sometime in Q1, but likely with delivery dates in Q4 at the earliest for AWD, if not 2025 Q1+.

I have RN112836XXX and have not gotten the email yet. I am in NJ. I do want FSD as I recently transfered the FSD from my 2018 Model 3 LR AWD to my 2023 Model Y and miss it when drivinng the 3. I also want the hardware to power share with my house (universal wall connector and inverter). Now, $80k really was my limit, but I think I worked the math out to where I can make the $100k AWD make sense. Here's it goes:

Cybertruck's 123KwH battery is the same as ~9 power walls. Each Powerwall costs $8400 with the hardware to backup the home. That's $75,600 right there minus $10-$20k for incentives in most people's cases. Cybertruck can also output 11.5Kw with Powerwall outputting only around 5Kw. I have a 2018 LR AWD Model 3 with 55k miles on it that is paid off and I'd trade in. Thinking I could get around $15k-$20k for that at least. KBB says more, but I'm skeptical. Anyways, I'm pretty set on ordering the AWD $100K Cybertruck once I get my order email. I have a neighbor who keeps asking me to buy my rez too, lol. But I know that's not really possible / allowed.

Well that makes it even more complicated! They don't have enough batteries to make more than what they're selling right now oh my God what to do now.
The producer 10 Millionth 4680 battery earlier this year and are continually producing/improving. Inventory should last a while.

Check the site, it says EST. in front of the price. It's estimated. That's not the final price.

I think they will send out this invitation to everybody from the first few days of reservations. They are just doing it in waves so they can space it out some and actually deliver them next year.
