Hi, I rigged these solutions but someone could really take these ideas to the next level. Please do!

1. Steer with your knee again: I mounted a steering wheel knob to the lower left side of the squircle, I can drive with my knee now, but it's not perfect. Somethong that attaches and rounds out the bottom of the squircle would be much better, but this works for me for now.

2. See your phone again: Raise the wireless charger ports so you cas see and use the whole phone. In the current chargers the bottom of the screen is inaccessible. I used the Tesla wireless pad that was styled like CT and rigged it to go on top. Needed to make a bigger lip for the bottom so phone doesn't fall out. Works great so far but I haven't had any super hard turns. The sides are a bit shallow so the phone might fly off.

3. Have your silence again: Door handle inserts that are fully rubberized to eliminate rattle against the sides. Current models are hard plastic and stuff you put inside rattles.

Luckily... FSD is rolling out as of last night. So that makes steer-by-knee basically useless. The Phone charging pad is cool, but again, with FSD - it can see where your hands are and that'll trigger 'pay attention' warnings.

I'm excited for FSD too, and it doesn't replace the need for everything. It's a truck, and truck people do things, so knee Steering will always be kneeded :) Doubtful FSD will strike you for glancing at your phone for a quick look. It is nice to see the whole screen. I'd love to see your suggestions to improve the CT!

I use FSD in my other cars all the time, and it almost IMMEDIATELY knows when I have my phone in my hand in my testing. And the truck's interior camera is even better than those cars:

but I get your point about knee steering... never really do it since I'm too tall and my knees don't line up right haha

Yeah you should get a stike for phone in hand. This is a charging pad, like the one that's already there. Not for your hand, just to see the whole phone. Thanks for the FSD phone-in-hand information though! Can't wait for FSD!

Definitely going to copy the phone pad idea if I can get my hands on one of those chargers. Hopefully they’ll be back in stock sometime. I remember thinking it was over priced initially but for this application I’m all in.

While looking for the pad I discovered that they have a new design of the charger bank which is pretty slick. Don’t know how long this has been in the store but first time I’ve seen it.

Yes, it is overpriced probably even for this application! I found mine pre-owned on eBay for 250. It is really well built though. Hefty, metal. If it was produced for CT it wouldn't need to be as heavy and could snap better into the existing charger area. It could also be made so you could slip 2 other phones, or those battery packs you linked to, underneath and onto the original charging pads for 4 device wireless charging.

Here's a picture of how I used the mount that is shipped with the charging pad. I flipped it upside down and attached it at just the right spot to give the angle, and get good grip on the back so the whole thing doesn't fly out during a hard brake. It's just black duct tape.

Blows my mind people drive with their knees. I could never get used to it. But then again I drive with my pinky so I can’t even judge lol.

Can you show a pic of those handle inserts?

I bought some of the handle inserts here. They are nice, and have inserts for the floor of the liner, the walls are still hard though and rattle.
