same situation. When I’m traveling which is fairly frequently I just do not feel safe leaving my cyber truck at the airport for multiple days. I haven’t ever been concerned about leaving my S. But now I have some misgivings about leaving it places to. It’s a plaid and it’s got some carbon fiber bits on it so it sticks out a little bit. The one that I’m least worried about is my wife’s model X because those things are practically invisible in my experience nobody notices them.
I just left my S for 9 days at the airport. And running sentry that whole time eats too much battery.

You’re absolutely right! I’ve had to literally turn it off on a long trip because I didn’t take it to the Airport with a full enough charge. Got down to 19%! Not good!

I learned a lesson on that trip! Either make sure that it’s charged sufficiently or take a different car or Uber/Taxi. Otherwise, you’re going to have to turn off sentry mode.

I'm going to a local event where my truck will be parked and unattended for several hours this weekend. Obviously I have sentry mode and a huge thumb drive ready to go to document what happens, but it will be at a place that tends to attract more colorful individuals. I'm hoping for absolutely nothing to happen, would have already had people write stupid things on the side of my truck in the grime.

Has anyone ever tried putting up a "smile you're on camera" sign or something to that effect? I don't want to have to deal some dunce thinking they're being cute And then have it turn into a whole thing with the event hosts.
I think a “smile you’re on camera” sign would make MORE people want to F with your truck.

I’ve been waiting ‘till the last day or two of this month to see if there might be an end of quarter special. I’ve been waiting and saving for five years to buy this truck and if I chicken out now, that means the crazies win. The only modification I’m going to make is to postpone wrapping it. I figure stainless steel will be lots harder to damage than a vinyl wrap.

I like the eyeball sentry image on the wife’s model Y. I’d prefer it as a deterrent, and it would be awesome if it followed people around the vehicle.

I just hope the stainless steel adhesive issue is resolved when I get my truck.

I wish there was a way to conserve the battery more with sentry on. The car never sleeps so nothing can be done I guess.

Setup a GoPro camera or a Wyze pan cam either internally or externally

I want a custom sticker that says "I hate Elon but my dead grandma gifted me this"
There’s plenty of cop-out stickers.

I want a whiteboard “pre-vandalism” survey.
Does this care make me an electro-(bundle of sticks)?
Do you think that the CEO is a bad man?
Did I park like an asshole?

I’m in a similar boat as you. I don’t even take it to the grocery store. It’s my shuttle between my home and vacation home. It goes garage to garage. I will take it to a restaurant as long as I am parked near the entrance and can keep an eye on it. The one time I went to a restaurant and parked it around a corner, some punk assed fools messed with it (no damage luckily). Until the social network echo chamber moves on to its next target, I will unfortunately be using my Fords for when I have to run errands.

if Tesla would allow the damned app to give alerts on Sentry motion (I don’t care if it’s a lot of notifications), then I would feel better about leaving the CT alone as I could exit a Home Depot or grocery store in seconds and throw down on the perp.
I want to put a big middle finger decal on the hood and one on the back. I’m so sick of the extreme lefties taking their frustration out on Tesla.

F- that. I’m not apologizing for buying the car I want to drive.

When I go inside somewhere and don’t trust the area I’m in. I’ll load up the live cameras. You can honk and flash lights at will. Also while viewing the cams, the lights flash on their own about every 20 seconds.
