LOOKING for trip advice from experienced folks

I know we all love our trucks. I have to do a trip from Central Oregon to Spokane WA and back tomorrow. 14-16 hrs in one day. I will have to charge 2 times which isn't an issue I think. Have to stretch legs anyway. Or I can take my Cummins and roll. Cutting some charge time off my trip. So, for those of you who have done stuff like this looking for suggestions. I expect speeds up to 75 and clear 45 degree weather.

Plot your route in the app and look at charge times and prices. At higher speeds you will not get the range that the app estimates - especially at 70mph plus. And if the chargers are slow, it can take a while to charge the CT. I like to always have 20% battery as a buffer, so I always take one extra stop over what the app suggests. Just my 2 cents.

Plugshare and "A better route planer". I prefer to not let onboard nav select the charging points. ABRP does a better job, especially in combination with Plugshare where you can more easily review amenities and location.

If you subscribe to ABRP, you can also select stops by amenity like food/dog friendly/lodging. I like to use "many stops" which gives a lot of options for stopping. If you don't need the stop, pass it. It will have another in a few miles, especially on the Interstate.

I agree with devdrone. You'll probably be stopping more often than you think, so if time/effort is a constraint I'd take the Cummins. If you don't mind resting more often and having the trip take an extra couple hours, then you can take the Cybertruck

Just got back from a 6500 mile vacation (funny you said Oregon and Washington as we drove to both from Texas). Followed that up with a 650 mile round trip to Starbase for the launch. I agree PlugShare and ABRP are beneficial, especially when looking for hotels with Tesla destination chargers (Free). I say don’t over think it, just treat it like any other vehicle. Get in, and drive it like you stole it ?

UPDATE. Trip was amazing. SO much more fun, comfortable, and relaxing than ever before. NO turbo whistle, and it was nice NOT going to gas stations. We plugged in at a Fred Meyers, a Subway and a Safeway. Was just fantastic. trip took an extra 45 mins over fueling up. And honestly, I got out walked around. stretched. ect. Felt way better afterwards so it is going to be a normal now.
