I would be interested to see a chase rack on the Cybertruck.

With the design it would open a whole level of aftermarket utility options.
I was thinking the opposite. Compared to traditional trucks that have lots of racks, campers, utility lockers etc that drop right in, the CT has those “sail pillars” on the bed sides that won’t allow it to work with existing solutions. Also questionable attachment points.
I’m sure some aftermarket companies will come up with new ideas (hopefully lots if it sells well) but they will probably be pricy because they will be specific to one vehicle.

I agree Down2earth. Straight lines are easy to build to and stainless welds really easy to make matching add-ons. I see people doing a wide variety of DIY accessories to this design; origami-fold out campers, structures that mount on the T-system bed, ladder racks. With the access to compressed air available, pneumatic actuators can be incorporated to make powered folding structures and lifts. Access to electrical power could be more than just running your power tools on the job site.

Yes, I was just researching different tie-down and mounting hardware for L-track and T-slot. Seems like I will be able to mount whatever I want to the floor or along the side and front of the bed. Looking for tire mount (spare), fire extinguisher... and then there is the welding option, but I would not want to mess up the track for the cover, so I would just bolt things in.

I wasn’t thinking about welding things on directly rather fabricating stainless accessories.

I am curious how a heaver accessory (like a winch bumper) would mess with the steering geometry and the front air suspension.

Gotta have a winch and rear receiver for towing.
along with the winch a front bumper guard, although it’s hard to imagine what it would look like or how it would attach.

I mean, just thinking about it, with the angular design, I would probably make it out of square tube of stainless steel.
Oh, look, you can buy 304 Stainless Steel square tube.

I have been to a place that makes bumpers for Jeeps and other offroad vehicles. I could easily see them, with a few experiments, being able to make aftermarket bumpers for the CyberTruck that match and are made out of Stainless Steel.
