My understanding is that Tesla cannot completely block the sale. However, they can try to collect the $50K fine stipulated in the purchase agreement and permanently ban the seller from ever buying a new car from them again. Doesn't seem worth the risk to me.

I'm surprised how long he has had it up for sale. Bummer one of the first ones in MN went to someone like that.

On January 9th, I walked into the forest with a configured order. My best hope was to exit with a VIN within a month or two . Sadly, Tesla messed around with the trail maps and anything labeled Minnesota was perpetually "two miles away". I walked and walked and watched others following the California and Texas paths right out of the woods. As the months went by, I grew to appreciate everything I love about Minnesota; the hosta poking out through the ground, the Loons searching for a nest and the budding trees. Yet as more of my fellow hikers left the woods, I felt more isolated and even more alone.

After 119 days in the woods, this shunned Minnesotan found a break in the thick brush and stepped out, blinking at the sun, holding a VIN stamped "May 7, 2024".

RN11282 --> VIN in high 10k --> No delivery date yet

Keep hope alive, Minnesotans. If you have a December order, I would venture to guess you already have a VIN or will get one soon.

@cgladue Please update your VIN website so other Minnesotans hold out hope!

I have yet to make it up there to sit in the one they have on the floor, but am excited for them to eventually get to the non-foundations, so I can replace this Model 3!

A bit of an update for my Minnesota peeps, Bakken Electric reached out to me in mid-March about installing Powershare. They came to my house to put together a bid in late March. They are so great to work with - explained everything so well, patient with quesitons and they are big supporters of Tesla. Took lots of pictures.

Once I got my VIN, I emailed them and got a quote within a day and I approved it. Everyone's set up is going to be different, but mine was quoted at ~$5k. (I'm integrating the Powershare into an existing sub-panel that I use for generator power during power outages and there is a long cable run from garage to mechanical on opposite side of house.) The V3 panel will be installed outdoors (outside mechanical room where circuit breaker is) and next to my meter.

Can't say enough good things about Bakken so far. I'll have more to share after everything is installed. I hope it is a quick and straightforward project. I can't really comment on if the price was reasonable because it wasn't a multi-bid process. However, compared to other electrical work I've had done - it seemed a little high, but not outrageous.

I have a 11294* RN and an order/configuration date of 19 Mar 2024 for an AWD, but haven't yet gotten a VIN notification. I'm in St Paul and have been dealing with the Golden Valley SC.
