Will be looking for it in the wild! Thanks for helping with keeping zombies at bay.

(I *still* have not sighted my first CT in the wild -- even though almost everybody I know has seen one, including a semi truck full of CT's out west.)
I can't believe you haven't seen a CT yet. I think I'm finally in the stage where a LOT less people are staring, pointing, taking pictures or giving you awkward smiles. I regularly see two other CTs in the St. Paul / Woodbury / Stillwater side (East Metro) so I think the strangeness might be wearing off finally. Two of us park our CTs next to each other outside Allianz Field for all Minnesota United games.

It's just a matter of time. You're going to LOVE it. So much better in person. You should go to Maplewood and check out the one on display!

I actually *have* a CT (see post with photo above taking delivery) and love it -- it's just that I haven't yet seen somebody elses CT out there ''in the wild". Seeing your own truck isn't the same experience I don't think, since I still have the feeling that they don't *really* exist.

Ooooh. Totally misunderstood you. I remember driving by my first CT (while driving my CT) and I audibly gasped. It was like a thing in Doctor Who.

My wife, of course, pulled out her phone and took a picture out of jest. I thought it was hilarious.

I'm always out and about on the East Metro. I've only seen one other one in the wild. It is quite a shock to actually see one driving down the road as compared to personally driving one. You almost forget what a sweet piece of metal you're driving in.

Just yesterday (July 31) I mentioned to my wife that it would be nice to have a real life test of our AWD CT (named Max) and the Powershare combination just recently installed. This morning our neighborhood in Saint Paul had a 2 hour power outage.

Our system was put in by Bakken Electric, the Tesla-approved contractor suggested to us. It took about 2 minutes for the Gateway 3V to make the switch over to the CT which was plugged into the universal wall charger (UWC). The circuits in the house which are backed up kicked in without a hiccup. We have most things (fridge, microwave, lights, computers) other than the AC on the backup circuits, and the phone app showed the truck delivering 700 watts to the house. This also included a heat pump hot water heater. The phone app projected over 2 days of backup at this rate of consumption.

The actual usage during the two hour outage was 1 percent (80 to 79%) of the truck's battery. We follow Tesla's recommendation and only charge the CT to 80% for normal use.

When the grid power came back, the phone app sent a notice that it would switch back from the CT to the grid within the next five minutes, which it did. I'm guessing it does this to make sure the grid is solidly back up before making the switch. This switch back to the grid took about five seconds, so AC powered computers and similar devices would still need a UPS to avoid having to reboot. We were quite happy with the way this first 'test' worked out.

Any interest to get together for CT Meetup? I think we have reached critical mass at MSP to get together.
We can compare accessories we already got and share the love/hate stories ?
Also would be cool to line up 10+ CTs for photo op!

Finally got my invitation for non-FS Thursday evening, one week after being laid off from my company. The irony!

Now if I can get a new role before my severance runs out, I’m still on track, and can get one by end of year!

Hoping to join you all on the road in a CT soon!

I'd be down for meet up. I'm in Cottage Grove.

After a 5 month layoff, I’ve finally ordered my Cybertruck. Decided to keep things in line with the tax credit trim, and may change tires/wheels after.

Delivery at the end of the month!

After waiting since launch night, I’m glad to be joining you all in the club.

Congrats! You won't be disappointed. Got mine last May and was really skeptical. It's been a game changer of a truck, especially for work.
