Just stumbled on something pretty cool — apparently there are now Mirrored Cyber Certified Installers offering full mirror-finish upgrades for the Cybertruck ?

From what I can tell, it's not a wrap — these are certified installs that meet really high standards for precision, finish quality, and vehicle care. Basically, it gives the Cybertruck a flawless mirror-like look while still keeping that sharp, futuristic edge.

Looks like thewrapempire.com is one of the certified installers doing this. They’re based in Houston, Texas and seem to have some pretty wild projects going.

Anyone here done a mirrored look yet? Or seen one in person? Curious how it looks in the sun, how well it holds up, and whether it's more show or daily-driver friendly.

Would love to hear if anyone has experience with this — or pics!

Is that just a fancy marketing way of saying, “we polish Cybertrucks if you pay us enough”?

I, too, have wondered what these look like in a couple months. So far have only seen them posted with pics fresh after polishing. Seems like it would make fingerprints, raindrops, bug splats, etc show up even more. Unless they immediately coat it with something.

I wonder how much this would cost? All labor of course and then there is probably regular touchups to keep the mirror finish shiny.

Reminds me of the old American Airlines bare metal livery. If memory serves that didn’t end up being particularly cost effective for them. Pretty but expensive

Where is it illegal?

Everything online says it's legal in every state.
In California, while a mirror-finish car wrap might be aesthetically unique, it's not inherently illegal as long as it doesn't obstruct the driver's view or violate specific regulations regarding window tinting or material reflectivity.

  • Reflectivity:
The material shouldn't reflect sunlight or headlight glare into the eyes of other drivers to a greater extent than the windshield without the material.

California is one of the places that has said it is legal on a polished CT, most other places there just simply wasn't anything in the code making it not legal.

So it's legal, but it is expensive.

They guy that had the original polished cybertruck said that it actually reduced the fingerprint problem. He did a video a while back touching it and it didn't stick like it does on the stock stainless.

Thinking of doing a wrap to get this effect so that if I ever want to go back with the stainless look I can just pull it off. Still looking for the right brand/material

GOOD GOD! No thanks
The guy that originally had it done said it cost $20k. Guess they've figured it out better since then! I still wouldn't pay $11k though!
