Ordered Cyber Truck on Day 2; got M3P Dec 2019 and bought TSLA stock after spending a month learning/obsessing on Tesla - damn fun car in the mountains, great commuter, nice stock appreciation...

Congrats on the car, enjoy!!!

Just to answer your original question with my experience.

I received my Model 3 in July 2018
- Long Range (310 miles then and after OTA update now 326)
- Single Motor
- Black color (free color)
- 19" Sport Wheels
- Free Premium Connectivity for life
- NO Autopilot or FSD
$50,500 before tax and rebates.
-$7,500 federal tax credit
-$2500 rebate from California
-$500 rebate from SoCal Edison
Net Price of $40,000 before taxes.

Today nearly 3 year years later on the Model 3 configurator
- Long Range (356 mile)
- Dual Motor
- White color (A better free paint)
- 19" Sport Wheels
- NO free Premium Connectivity
- Autopilot included
- Heat Pump
$48,490 before taxes
-$2000 California Rebate
-$1000 SoCal Edison rebate (last time I checked)
Net price of $45,490 before taxes

So today a new Model 3 is a better vehicle than when I bought mine but at a slightly higher cost. The big question is what my vehicle is worth nearly 3 years later and 26k miles.

KBB lists my trade-in value of $35,377-$39,892. Private Party is about $2k higher.
Whats crazy is, I am trading in my challenger which I purchased for 24,500. now has 17k miles and getting 27k as trade in value. My car APPRECIATED, which is unheard of, but I do not drive much at all and it is practically new. With the price of M3 rising, and my driving habits, I do not anticipate losing much value at all. What I do lose, I recouped in the challenger transaction.
I did exactly that... just waiting for June delivery. Why? ... why not :)
Lol! I am in total agreement! I would go as far to say, the meaning of life = grins

I CANNOT wait to get a delivery. Hoping for June. We'll see.

Congrats. Keep us ICE people posted about your experience.
Absolutely. To give an update. I was expecting something around 21k-23k for my current car trade in. Cause you know, cars depreciate. In my case, because I don't drive much at all, I ended up getting 27k. I purchased my car for 24,500. So, my car appreciated, which is unheard of. Everything is in, just waiting for a delivery date. Hopefully in June. With the rise in model 3 prices + my driving habits, I just may come out on top when I trade the model 3 in as well, or close to breaking even. we'll see, either way, I am PUMPED!

Welp, update. I am looking at a delivery for next weekend I believe. Pick up on Cincinnati. I've been crazy excited. Got the 14-50 outlet installed last week. I'll continue to post my tesla experience over the months maybe years as... This is really a cybertruck story. Soon, I will have the model 3. I predict less than 10k miles. Ultimately, I will sell that vehicle.. The day I actually have a cybertruck will be very interesting. Considering using the model 3 as, a turo car. But have to do the math.
