Moving to NYC - deciding if I should sell - thoughts?

I’m moving to/near NYC in about 6 months, I’m not sure yet if I’ll be in a borough, Long Island or NJ side of things but I have friends who live in NYC and are strongly suggesting I sell the CT considering how it has become a political symbol and how people are vandalizing them. I currently live in Florida in a mostly republican area, everyone assumes I’m a republican and pretty much leave me alone. I’m expecting the Elon hate heat to die down but I would love to hear from people in NY near manhattan or any buroughs how they are doing there. I’m told “it wouldn’t last 2 days”

Replying to see what others have to say. I visit nyc fairly often and have been wanting to take a trip soon but worried about taking the CT.

I hate to give in to terrorists, but unless you have a garage in Jersey, I’d sell it and wait for the gobshiets to settle down.

I live in PA and drive into NYC about twice month- no issues oher than making sure you find parking but I see a fair amount of cybertrucks- was in last weekend and three were in the parking garage in addition to mine and saw two street parked.

I live in NYC and have never had any problems with my Cybertruck. There are plenty of Cybertrucks here in the city, and no one has ever complained of vandalism or any other issues. I always find a place to park it. Many people come up to me, curious about the truck, taking pictures, and asking me lots of questions. My advice is to ignore what they say and enjoy your Cybertruck. We don't have any issues with the truck here in NYC. I just admire the vehicle.
