The DeLorean had a pretty cool logo. DMC with backwards stylised 'D' to make it symmetrical. Probably paid an Italian designer a lot of money to come up with it. Handsome. Iconic.
Of course the hubris of spending that much to develop a logo for a single model of car that didn't end up getting seen by very many people is visible in hindsight.

Of the two official Cybertruck fonts I think the "Cyber Font" version would look better laser etched than the "Graffiti" version which would be an aesthetic nightmare on a vehicle.

I am okay with no badges or logos, but maybe they could take a design cue from the back of the Delorean and have it molded into the plastic bumper on the back, which I think is understated and tasteful.

I had a Prius, and always hated that it had "hybrid" labeled on the left, and on the right, and on the rear, when almost everyone in the world already knows a Prius is a hybrid.

100% agree that there is zero need for anything besides a Tesla T.

You could buy wheels and tires to match for $5k to try to make the truck look like a more expensive model just for kicks.

As far as selling one as such, they will either run the VIN or click on the vehicle software tab on the screen that shows exactly what model it is. And if you actually manage to dupe someone, they will come looking for you at your address with a pistol-grip pump. So, probably won't happen.

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't need a "T" either. I mean, anyone who doesn't know who makes it is not going to be helped by a "T".

I'm hoping it's as naked as a newborn baby!

I don't even like logos or emblems on my clothes.

I hope it's naked. I like when things are "if you know, you know"-style. The conversations you get from people who notice are usually better.
I've always liked getting girls naked. So why not my Cybertruck?

I predict the only “badging“ we will see is a laser etched “Dual”, “Quad” or “Quad Plaid” motor designation on the flat 3mm thick SS tailgate. Tesla would most likely etch the motor designation into the lower right corner.

…factory laser etching into the SS tailgate will be a major obstacle to prevent owners from “cloning“of a lower priced model (Dual Motor) into a top of the line model (Quad Plaid).

Luv CT iconic profile. Keep the waistline bustle. Pls

Elon is far more likely to eschew convention, badging and motors for “variants”, likely not automotive either. In the “outta this world” category… not likely. Maybe a scheme or borrowed protocol to denote class, intelligence or vehicle autonomy.

Genius would be a cyberplay tie-in over Starlink/SwarmBee with remote handheld app. It might only be a simple “Godview” of cybertrucks to start(ala Uber.app-style). Fork into Robotaxi.mode, Apocalypse.mode, Backcountry.mode, etc…

I see what you are saying, I’m totally good with that too and it is a little “hard to miss”. Hell I don’t really plan on washing it much either so it won’t matter!

The Austin factory is basically CT shaped, and those 2 new walls at the front are CT walls. They have CT shaped planter boxes.

The CT will be its own logo.

The CT shape is a thing. Who knows if other similar shaped vehicles are in the pipeline.

It doesn’t matter. It may be just CT. Even though Musk said 400,000 units..., 1 million CT's yearly at $20.000 profit each = 20 BILLION profit !!!

I think production will be that high.

So much incentive to make as many CT's as possible. To make them affordable to reach 1 million sales.

The incentive to make it affordable is clearly there.
The volume for cheaper parts and production cost is clearly there.

I took all the badging of my M3DP, only the spoiler and brakes give it away.
