You have a removable chip? I haven't had one of those in quite a few years. I just set my old phone next to my new phone and have the data get copied over automagically.

Today's FUDtastic adventure is courtesy of NextDoor and a recent sighting in Pflugerville, just north of Austin. There was plenty of the usual "that's ugly!" and "not a real truck!" comments (and of course, "I need to be able to tow 5000+ lbs for several hundred miles without long stops" hahaha) but I've pasted the most entertaining thread below, where they were trying to determine the origin of the "Tesla Bolt" :ROFLMAO:

I'm just so not a fan. Of any of it. It's like Elon Musk is a supervillian. And they just recalled like every single Tesla because of battery overheating and exploding issues. It just boogles the mind that someone would commit to paying for this monstrosity.

I agree with you on not being a fan of the Cybertruck and maybe even about Elon... but please do not spread misinformation about recalls due to battery overheating and exploding. This is just not true.

but it is true. We partner with Tesla via our Automotive Program and have had to get the recall performed. Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2023 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. The pyrotechnic battery disconnect may be defective. The recall affects all Tesla Bolt cars from 2017-2019 models. - Tesla believes that a manufacturing issue with the battery cells can cause a fire. - Drivers are warned not to park their cars indoors or charge them overnight.

That is not true in any way. First of all, and most importantly, Tesla does not make the Bolt, Chevy does. Tesla has not had any recalls, in any way, regarding batteries, or explosions, as suggested

Please get your info straight. Nothing, not even the slightest bit, of what you said is accurate in any way. You don’t have to be a fan, but please don’t spread nonsense.

It's an issue, it's a concern. Are you familiar with Identifix? I'm a ASE Master Certified Tech. My contact at Tesla engineering is Becca Candelas who is Manufacturing Training Supervisor at Tesla. My facts come straight from the source. Not sure why you think it's not relevant. We have to stay connected with what's going on. Why would they take our program car to replace the battery as a safety measure due to the fire hazard? Just sharing information everyone is not privileged with.

What model car did they take? Show me a link or anything to this big Tesla recall for batteries because of fire and explosion hazards. And yes, you being a car guy was a little alarming that you don’t know that Tesla does not make the Bolt. Just because it’s an electric car does not mean it’s a Tesla. The big recall you’re referring to is easily found when looking up battery recall for CHEVY BOLT. That’s not a Tesla and I’m betting you won’t find anything about a Tesla recall with their batteries and being an explosion or fire hazard.

The recall you keep bringing up - “GM initiated a recall in 2021 after a small number of Bolts high voltage batteries caught fire. The battery replacements were to take place on all pre-existing Bolts with the affected LG battery packs. Basically, every 2017-2022 Chevy Bolt.”. Again, NOT TESLA.

And honorable mention goes to: "The edges on those things are so sharp. The trunks can cut a finger off. I've heard the blind spots are terrible (you should never 100% rely on cameras). No crumple zones to my knowledge. AND it can't get dirty and has to be cleaned immediately lol. Has to be one of the most unsafe cars out there - just a way for rich wanks to show off."
