In the pictures of the running boards it appears that the front of the running board is open. My concern is that in the Michigan snowy winter that the running board will accumulate snow and slush to drag into the garage. Is this a concern?

I am also curious on this and hoping to find some running board that can check all the boxes.

Should that opening be of any concern long term for accumulating dirt/mud/etc?

I’m suprised no one else noticed this as well. For a truck to be used off-road, I’d rather not have rocks and debris clanking in there.

Seems like a major design flaw leaving it open. I would have purchased this step if it was closed at the ends.

I like them, as I am looking across many options to purchase. My 2 questions are, the material looks slick vs. rough texture. Might be a concern in the rain. Also the design looks as if there is a hole left after install. Dirt, mud could seep in. Still looking!

Thanks, they are textured - it's a powder coat we have used for almost 4 years now, going back to our Rivian running boards, plenty grippy! No trapping dirt/mud; it is designed to be able to be rinsed out if needed. Thanks!
