If it’s a small pit I would just go buy the $10 RainX windshield repair kit at Walmart and fix it myself. It works great and I’ve lost track of how many pits and bulls-eye breaks I’ve fixed with it in my vehicles.

I’ve had professional repairs done by the major company the advertises on TV all the time and honestly I think the DIY kit gives better results.

I put in a service request and there are none available before August ??‍ I cannot imagine what it would cost me to pay for that glass windshield out of pocket. I guess I can just try and take a picture with date on my phone and picture of the mileage. Lord.

Just remember that it would go by the date of the service request, not the date repaired, so if you all can deal with it until August, you may still be able to get it replaced/repaired, if within that delivery issue window.

You're correct. But also insurance went up 50% this year in FL... so is it really free? I love FL, I have property there, but the insurance situation is out of control.

My husband took delivery of CT while I was out of town. Got back and gave that huge windshield a great cleaning with Windshield Wow (thanks to previous poster). It was filthy. Anyway that’s when I saw a small chip in the glass right in the drivers line of sight (I say small because the windshield is huge) but I felt around on the outside and it had to have been a pebble flying at high speed on a train because you can feel the depth of the glass puncture (maybe not right word). Should that be acceptable? The guy who was going to do ceramic coating said it may get worse when he does it and to consider taking it to Tesla to fix. That sounds like it would be a long shot. Thoughts?

What i did with my CT windshield is had a protective film installed on mine. Exo shield in one but there are a number of companies that make it. It is very popular with off roaders. I live in MT where there is always sand or grit on the road. I hoping it helps. My nearest Tesla center is in WA.
