NON CHEETAH STANCE LAUNCH SLOWER AFTER UPDATE

Recently purchased my beast. Launching has been incredible! So quick! I didn't know about cheetah stance until after I updated to 12.5.5.3 and noticed launching from a stopped position was way slower. Then I saw in the settings about launch mode using the cheetah stance and the depressed brake and accelerator. The launch was back to normal if not a micro percent slower. I don't like having to completely stop and wait a second or two to engage cheetah stance and then get the acceleration I once had before the update. Cock block I proclaim l!

I’ve had my beast for a while now, cheetah stance has always been a thing, you don’t have to wait for it to complete to launch, but you’ll get a better launch with it. If you noticing a slower launch, it could be because its colder, does the battery have a snowflake next to it?

Yes, the battery was cold. Can that effect the launch that much?

If you try to do it right after you stop, it doesn't work. You have to wait a second. If it didn't engage, lift your accelerator pedal (while still holding the brake pedal) and try again by re-pressing the accelerator

And, a little obvious, but make sure you're in beast mode

Temperature and state of charge will both effect speed.

Hmm. I experienced the same thing today with some family in my 'Beast.. While it was fast, it definitely didn't feel as quick as before the update... This was in 70ish degree weather from around 10 mph to 100ish...

Tomorrow I'm going to try heating up battery before i try a non cheetah launch. 33° tomorrow for me

First time my buddy tried it he pussyfooted the brake and it didn’t acknowledge that he wanted launch mode, so really slam that sucker in.

You need to push the brake down with your left foot then FULLY SLAM the go-pedal down, I know this is very scary the first time I was very hesitant to do it at a stop light lmao. But it works, you can’t feather the accelerator to enter launch mode it needs to be slammed. Have fun! ?

Quite a bit. You can precondition it and once the snowflake goes away you’ll get it back

I had my Drive Mode set to custom, then it was on beast mode but that won’t work. I changed it directly to beast mode and worked right away. So in case anyone else is wondering.
