Painting bumpers and cladding

I just got a Cyberbeast. I am now in the process of getting the bumpers and cladding painted.

I am wondering if anyone else has gone through this process.

Any special precautions to take, and was there any issues with the fitment of the cameras after the primer and paint?

I've asked my body shop to use degreaser/isopropyl alchohol, then sand, then use adhesive promoter, then use flexible primer for plastics, then use paint for plastics.

I am mainly concerned about the paint process adding thickness thus affecting the fitment and angle of the FSD cameras.

I wouldn’t expect any issues. The 2 cameras in question have a bit of wiggle room. What color are you going with?

I would imagine the vinyl wouldn’t be able to stick to the texture on the cladding, it would need to be sanded or a high build primer.
Kim K had her truck fully color matched in the photo.

I have xpel armor on all my plastics and it sticks beautifully. I imagine ppf would be pretty easy. Especially since it can be wrapped “around” most edges.

It will be all gloss black.

The body is already wrapped in gloss black ppf.

The cladding would be painted to match. Still speaking with a few shops

I am painting the bumpers and wheel cladding, not the wheel covers. But these look really cool, thanks for sharing!

Woah those are neat! Rather than powder coat my spare set of wheels white, I might just use these white ones for my “Shadowfax” version of LEO when I get my white wraps from @CybertruckCovers!

A bit cheaper, but more importantly a lot quicker to swap looks and less complicated when it comes to having a spare I don’t wanna have to have a white spare and black spare.

I was very passionate about Asimov as a youngster. Fiction and non-fiction alike Any film interpretation of him is a win as far as I’m concerned except for maybe that Will Smith thing with the Converse and Ducati marketing. Isaac would likely not have approved. I’m fairly convinced of that.
Specifically for this bicentennial man version though, I thought Robin Williams did an amazing job of conveying apathetic sadness. Not an easy task from an acting perspective if you think about it. The irony in hindsight is outrageous though right?
Currently formulating an opinion on the apple tv version of Foundation.
Some artistic license has been taken for sure but I’m still on the fence if for good or bad.
Three laws and visions will make a big comeback I expect when they start selling optimi. People who didn’t even know they were interested will become interested.
