That’s the price for all 4 (5 technically) + installation. I was debating getting them in my ‘23 Plaid after just getting it back from having the track pack installed. Consensus is they are really uncomfortable, though they may work well for their primary purpose in terms of giving you more lateral support on track days. I think I’ll pass.

Pretty happy with the rest of the upgrades the handling is absolutely amazing after the firmware and suspension updates. It whips around very much like my old M3P did which is amazing for such a big car, steering is insanely precise. Had the Zero G wheels ceramic coated bronze. Thrilled with the final result, just got it back today!

With the car being discontinued, to me it was a no-brainer. Where else are you going to get a 0 to 60 in 1.9 sec sedan with a factory installed package that gives you a 200 mph top speed?

You’d need to buy a Lucid Sapphire for $300,000 or something like a Bugatti Chiron SS for $4 million to even touch it! Oh, and did I mention it drives itself? HW4, btw! No better version will ever ship in a Model S. This is the pinnacle.

I’m never selling this car so, this was not about resale for me during my lifetime; but if you want to try to convince me to sell it you’re going to need $200,000, at a minimum to get my attention. I bought this car when it was at its lowest sales price in Sept. 2023 at $89K, another $25K (I get it though, that extra 5K does sting a little bit) to turn it into a true unicorn that will never be bested by a subsequent trim from Tesla was just the easiest decision I’ve ever made about a car mod. My calculus the day that they announced they were discontinuing the S&X was- Oh shit, I better order the track pack today before they sell out and that opportunity is gone forever.

As I’m sure you know, you can drop the price back down by not getting the Zero Gs and Goodyear F1s, by the way. I just wanted this car to be equipped with everything that Tesla threw at it for posterity. I hope it has a long and storied life after I’m done with it.

I hear where you’re coming from, your plaid is a step above! I’m also keeping my plaid forever. I got mine (hw3) used for a little over 60k so the track pack being close to half that has caused a mental block for me in my consideration of purchasing it. I always had a plan to trade my plaid for a new one once the s has steer by wire, so when s got canceled I immediately ordered a CT and that’s why I’m here lol

Did no one notice the seats that Wes is in have Cybertruck logo on them ans angular cut outs ala the Cybertruck design? Where do we get these seats with a harness for the Cybertruck??? I'm a lot more interested in what Wes is sitting in and would install those in a heartbeat for autocross or track days. Anyone have the info on them?

sure did and agree. I wonder if those were early prototype plaid chairs. Or, if they were intended to go with the plaid + which was supposed to have the active aero spoiler on the trunk lid 🤔

Wise choice! You too are the proud owner of arguably the best American sports sedan and truck ever made. I consider my C8 to be the best American sports car I’ve ever made as well. They’re a perfect set! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I always dreamed of an american muscle car, which c8 do you have? What things does the corvette do that you like better or worse than the plaid?

Given their design they seem like they are Cybertruck only but who knows, someone should ask Wes though... how are you liking your new Plaid? I am considering one myself but just read something about Tesla pulling out the GPU? What's up with that?

No my Plaid isn’t new I’ve had it since September 2023 direct factory order. The GPU thing is not new. That happened in 2025. It’s one of the reasons that I cite for my car being the pinnacle of everything that Tesla ever put in a Model S. What’s new to my car is that I just added the track package which updates brakes wheels and tires and unlocks the 200 mph top speed which is capped at 162mph or 175mph depending upon when you bought your model S. Mine was 175 before.

It uses an AMD Ryzen embedded APU for the normal car-computer workload, and a separate AMD RDNA 2 discrete GPU for heavier graphics and gaming tasks. AMD stated that the RDNA 2 graphics side provides up to 10 teraflops of compute, which is why Tesla marketed the refreshed Model S/X as having console-class gaming power.

This was discontinued in 2025, so not really new news. It seems like to change your recently is that they dropped the size of the SSD or memory or something I haven’t really paid super close attention to the specific details of the change because it doesn’t affect me.
