I know there are threads targeting wraps, but if its more about the concept of "creating a new look by covering the bare metal" I'm surprised no one has mentioned Plasti Diping the Cybertruck yet.

Fractions of the cost, DIY and given the flat panels of the CT, would be even easier to do it.

Plasti Dip seems to have come a long way...

Riffing off the release candidate graphics, you could wrap or dip it and then spraypaint graffiti on top. Peel the whole shebang off when you get tired of it

Ontop of that, you can do that multiple times before you hit the cost of a PFF wrap...

Note: simple road debris can and will damage any vinyl or dip you do. At least that was what I was told by a local installer. So over a year or two of miles would show lots of signs of wear and tear..

Was the installers profession using plasti dip and/or vinyl?

My 17MS is vinyl wrapped with some dipped items. After two years of miles - I regret spending the money for it. One simple road trip can ruin a vinyl wrap piece and cost hundreds to re wrap that panel.

Yes, the installer is professional and stands behind their work. It’s not the installer, but the simple fact that vinyl wrap is so thin and can’t protect from simple road construction rocks or other.

I would just be aware that it’ll need to be maintained. Basically, is what I am trying to say.
Why have a high maintenance aspect of a very low maintenance vehicle? Ha 😉
