The exoskeleton is just stainless, you can do anything to it that you can do to stainless, including various finishes and the mirror finish. Forget the "coatings" and sealants, stainless does not need those. Pull a piece out of the junkyard or dirt after 20 years, it is still stainless. Maybe not by the beach and corrosive salt water environment, but generally.
