We have a newly installed SunPower PV & battery system. The PV system has micro inverters. It is a partial home backup with a 13kWh battery. EV chargers, AC units and the oven are non backup loads.

I have no idea how the Tesla gateway can be added for Powershare. Attached is our electrical diagram.

Tesla Cybertruck Powershare compatibility with SunPower PV & battery? (Update: Not compatible) 20240126100316

Update: Got the "Your order is eligible for Powershare Home Backup hardware installation." email today. No VIN yet.

Update: So I called Sunpower, and was told their system is not compatible with Tesla Powershare. Then I told my installer Willow Glen Electric so. They had updated their Tesla portal with my notes to confirm the reason that I’ve cancelled this opportunity 2 weeks ago. I haven't heard from Tesla yet.

If you are running microinverters, it may have to be installed upstream toward the panel.

It won’t. They will want to install it isolated from the Pv and third party battery. For now it won’t even support power walls or Tesla solar.

Update:

After getting VIN on 2/20/24. got another email update with Tesla Certified Installer info:

After reviewing your survey, we’ve determined that your Cybertruck order is eligible for Powershare Home Backup installation.
We matched you with a Tesla Certified Installer who will reach out to you to schedule a site visit. Their contact information is provided below. As a reminder, All-Wheel Drive orders are eligible for free Powershare Home Backup hardware; Cyberbeast orders will also receive an installation credit of up to $4,000.*
After installation is complete, the Home Backup feature will be available following a software update expected to release in June. In the meantime, you will still be able to charge your Cybertruck at home using the Wall Connector.

I think I will not install it if it will turn my NEM2 to NEM3, or cost too much.
