Yeah, it's a Michigan thing. Vehicle title transfer happens out of state so we need to prepay.
Interesting. I have to buy out of state also based on my state laws but I don't release funds until pickup.

Do you pick up the vehicle out of state ?
Delivery is in Michigan, but sale happens previously elsewhere.

As I just posted in another thread, my PAWD VIN 95xxx just went in transit to delivery location. I'm assuming (hoping) they would not let a known affected truck leave Giga Texas.
Mine has been at the delivery location since 5/6

My PAWD arrived at my local Service Center on 5/4 with a scheduled pickup date of 5/8. Since then, they have rescheduled my "delivery window" every 3 days but I am unable to schedule a pickup time via the app. A message appears for step 5 of 10, "There are currently no appointments available", then suggests I call a general number to speak to a Tesla Advisor.

I have confirmation that my CT is on site and still needs a firmware update, but no mention of the reason for the containment hold. What makes me crazy is the lack of transparency about the hold. I would even settle for the SC manager telling me that he is waiting for direction from corporate on how to fix the containment issue. But nothing.... Crickets.... This has been a terrible experience.

I got off the phone just now with customer support and “ unfortunately I can’t give you more info” was the answer despite me asking for good about fifteen minutes. There’s nothing solid with them all I was told is that it needs to get an OK. According to them “random” vehicles are selected for this and mine was one of them and this delay is typical which I know is BS. It’s frustrating that no solid reason or line of action is being communicated.

If they tell you the exact reason “ Aliens are currently hiding in the bed till the apartment is ready” then there will be mass panic across the world as other envious Cyber drivers will want to pet them. Or perhaps, “Oh it’s an issue with the blah blah reason, then others out here will be like, my blah blah is broke too fix it free. WE WANT THE RIVET!

Ordered in feb and delivery was today - apparently there’s a hold and appointment cancelled. No ETA

I just scheduled delivery for this Friday 5/29. Ordered 4/11. VIN 95k
I could have scheduled delivery for as early as Thursday.
Let's see what happens.
