Has anyone come across a clear protector for the front windshield? Had one on my model s, but it deteriorated in less than a year. Looking for an alternative to protect against pitting and rock chips.

I thought about doing that for my model S a while back and I could never find a good installer that wanted to do it.

That being said, I just crossed over 15, 000 mi and my windshield looks better than my S or three did at that time. Less pitting and no chips. Y doesn't have the mileage to compare

That front camera. We're going to have to talk about that later.

As you mentioned in your post, the windshield protection usually delaminates within a year. There's new tech from Ultra Fit and STEK that's releasing TPU based which is like PPF but they boast high visibility. If this works, we'll be offering it as a DIY solution as well, but we haven't found a material that's feasible just yet. If you go to the shop, ask for WinCrest Ultra Fit or STEK DYnoTop (Release soon) .

Had UltraFit on my model S. It did protect well. However, It began to delaminate within 2 months and quickly got worse after that and became tough to see through. The local installer was quite helpful throughout the ordeal, however, the manufacturer does not appear to stand behind their product. (Emails to them went unanswered).

I'll wait to see what STEK comes out with.

thank you. that’s all i needed to hear. i’ll pass on Ultrafit for now.

Curious to know success stories of windshield protection films on the Cybertruck. how good is the visibility after install and what brand lasts the longest and comes of without a fight.
