Hmm, I don't remember seeing this selection/option. I just had credits showing up in the account and these can be spent at anytime in any amount - no need to spent it all at once.So it seems like if you opted for the power share you get a credit on your account (taxable)and if you opted not to you get a voucher.(non taxable)
Also, credits given by Tesla (or similar promotional credits) are not considered taxable income as they are treated as store credit/discount rather than direct income. If the credit could be converted to cash, that cash would count as income.
