I got one of the new 2024 Cybertruck AWDs a few weeks ago (this is not the Foundation Series, and not the Beast).

  • I tried to fold up the bottom of the back seats (so that you could fit a box on the floor of the rear seating area).
  • I cannot find any levers or methods to fold them up. The manual says nothing about it.
  • The back seats in the old Foundation Series model did fold up, and it had a pull handle under the rear seat.
  • There were quite a few changes between the Foundation model and the new AWD model.
  • Can anyone confirm that removing rear seat folding was one of them?

Not under, but to the side by the door, right next to the belt buckle in attached pic. Unless it's really gone from non-FS.

The pull handle isn’t under the seat, should be on the outer edge of the seat, toward the middle ( from top to bottom), looks like an angular shape pull handle. I’ll use the picture posted, I can’t get to my truck.

Release handle sits flush with the seat back.

Nice of Tesla to put that really clear icon next to that showing what it does.
They lift up and are attached to straps.

Yes, it was nice to make them not as obtrusive as some seat releases are.

Thanks to everyone who helped find the solution. In retrospect it seems pretty obvious. I think the fact that the seats don't "spring up" automatically when pulled is why I didn't find it through exploration. Also the lack of a label makes it look like it could be other things. Anyhow, great to find out that I can actually store stuff in the back seat if needed!

The seats do spring up though; at least mine do. If you pull decently, they spring up - obviously don't pull hard, but not gently either.
