Repeated Camera Alignment issues recently.

I had an intermittent camera alignment issue over the summer pop up, which if it's uncleared, no FSD, no screen visualizations, no blind spot alerts et al will work. Tesla SC replaced the fisheye due to checking the logs. Drove it home from SC but next day popped alignment again, this time solid. Took it back in a few days later and they were able to adjust/reset and things seemed good. 1 week later, now popped alert solid again. I just happen to be taking truck in for terrestrial armor install on Monday, so I added this into the service visit.

The alerts are APP_w264 and APP_w164.
There's been at least 3 or 4 software updates since this started happening and none of them cleared the alerts, so I don't think it's a sw bug.
Maybe the new camera assembly they installed is defective, it seems to be complaining about a pitch adjustment.

Internet searches don't often give a resolution to people complaining about these alerts. No much on CT for sure.

yeah, this seems like a rare/edge case. Keep us updated.

I had a camera alignment notification issue come up a couple weeks ago, right when I had just started a 5 hour commute. It kept disabling my FSD for the rest of the drive. I kept pulling over on the next exit to reset it. On the 3rd stop, I did the camera recalibration, and FSD worked for a minute or so after, but then once again FSD was disabled due to camera alignment issues. I was dreading the long drive ahead, but then suddenly the FSD symbol came up after about 30 min of driving, and the FSD worked for the rest of the drive thank God. I made an appointment to have the cameras realigned. I took it in a couple of days ago, they told me the front camera pitch was a little off and they adjusted it, they told me they didn't know how or why that happens. I told them I wondered if the FSD would stop driving over the left line now with that adjusted, and they gave me hope that most likely it would. But..of course it did not. Not only that, but when I got back in my truck, I noticed the AC air direction wasn't showing up and i couldn't adjust the air direction. I pulled it back into service and had to wait another 45 min after waiting about an hour for the camera realignment, and it turned out they damaged the temperature regulator during the camera pitch adjustment which is housed in the same area of the front camera

The only good thing that came out of it is they offered to comp the $65 fee for rotating my tires . Oh, and camera alignment notification hasn't popped up since, but FSD still sucks in the same ways, overall grateful for it though, still better than anything else on the market.

I found one of the official documents for servicing pitch camera alignment problems. It includes an external target for adjustment. I will ask on Monday if they can tell me how they performed the pitch adjustment. I fear they are just resetting the DAS and camera calibrations and masking the issue.

Really need for this issue to be resolved. I don't have any adjacent live vehicle visualization while driving on screen, no blindspot alerts, no FSD, etc...............all the safety stuff I rely on is incommunicado.

Was driving manually today and all of a sudden the "try FSD" pop up, popped up. Even with the alerts. I haven't seen that pop up in days since FSD was unattainable due to the camera alerts. I was skeptical but I put it in FSD and then the alerts cleared and the visualizations of the traffic came back on the screen as normal. So far with four FSD drives today, everything now looks nominal. I did nothing, no resets, there was no overnight update, just charging as normal.

I hate intermittents.
