After 3 quick beeps I am getting this error message "Restraint System Error.....Service" It only happens every once in awhile, anyone else see this one before? I am schedule for a couple trim issues that I noticed at delivery so going to alert them of this when I take it in.

Have a dad-hack for you: pull out each seatbelt all the way until it ratchets, then racket it all the way back in so that it releases normally again

This will at least rule out a seatbelt malfunction, which means it's likely a malfunctioning airbag sensor

That seems to have worked....much appreciated!!

Also, note the date and time when you see the message for Tesla service. They often will require this to begin diagnostics. ???

I got this error and took it in for a fix. It took them a couple of weeks and it seemed to stump the service department in Indianapolis. They would think they got it fixed and the error would return. It’s fixed now. They mentioned it could have been a wiring issue.

Thanks for the info, will have to get mine in for the same. I thought it was fixed also after doing the full pull and release of each seat belt but the annoying warning is back. I go in on Sep 4th so will mention the wiring solution to ensure they address any solution while they have it. Appreciate it.

Update: took it in to SC Monday Aug 26th for the restraint system error and a couple other cosmetic issues that I noticed at delivery. All of the cosmetic issues SC says need to be replaced and have been ordered. They still have the truck....took them almost the week to diagnose it as a wiring connection issue and waiting on the parts. (which I told them about upon dropoff...information that I got from a member here on the forum). Initial expectations were set that I would have the truck back same day. I do have a loaner....new model 3, which I am impressed with, but definitely want my truck back. Only drove it for a week and now it has spent it's second week at SC, disappointing. Good news is that they have created a report and hopefully this will be preemptively addressed in production. Will update on status

Ok so go the CT back on Tuesday and on the way home the restraint system warning started going off again, this is after Tesla had it for a week and said that it was fixed. They claimed it was a wiring harness issue and that it had been replaced. The airbag warning light is also on when the 3 beeps go off and shows the warning. VERY annoying. Anyone else dealing with this?

Dropped off at Peabody, MA on September 6th for this issue. They gave me a loaner which is good because I live three hours from the location. Last I heard was it is still being diagnosed and today is the 12th. Was hoping the fix was quick but rather it complete than I drive away and it starts beeping again.

Well I hope you have a better experience than I am having. My service notes are now in the mother ship so hopefully expedites yours. My CT is still with them, after resetting the system and giving me the CT back for it to only trigger again, they said that they need to replace the module that controls the restraint system. After replacing that module (took them about a week to get the part) they said "After further testing with the safety system we found that there was an internal issue with the drives side airbag. We found out that the airbag has no part number and is non-serviceable--therefore a brand new seat has been ordered to ultimately remedy your concern. The current ETA will be 9/20 coming from Texas distribution center" and this is after the only communication and response to my request for a call or update has been to push the estimated completion date to the next day....over and over again. Service is definitely a problem for Tesla....I am really surprised evern shocked that it is this bad. Of the 5 weeks I have owned the CT it has been at service for 4 of them. So I am pretty disappointed. They did give me a loaner, current model S so getting good practice with platform (the CT is my first Tesla) and I am enjoying the FSD, (small silver lining).

Similar here. The truck was in Paramus to repair some issues for a week so I’m now at 2+ weeks at a dealer in the roughly 1 month I’ve owned it. Hope Tesla does something for us beta users.

Darn....hope they fix yours quick. I think I was one of the first to have this and Tesla does do a good job of learning from their mistakes/errors. Agreed, maybe instead of Foundation Series it should have been Beta Series? I should have my CT today or tomorrow and will report back on status.

Update: picked up the CT Friday and all alerts are clear. They ended up having to replace the drivers seat and the restraint module and confirmed that the majority of the time the CT was there it was sitting around waiting on parts. Now enjoying it!
