I love my Rivian R1T, but I wouldn't pay today's prices for it. Not because I don't think it's worth it, it is in my mind, but just because I feel the values will drop significantly from the current selling price. I got mine for $64k new after rebates and original pricing I qualified for.
With that being said, as much as I love it, I don't care so much about how great my truck looks, which is the biggest problem owning a traditional truck with 'fragile' paint. I really want a truck that I could care less and not worry about the exterior surfaces. For this, I am really excited about the CT.
There will be things I will miss from the R1T that the CT doesn't have, but there are also things in the CT that the R1T doesn't have. Who knows, we may end up keeping both...
