Turns out you can still drive just fine even wjth FSD despite having no screen to look at.

I was wondering why the car was beeping twice and flashing the screen until the screen went completely dark while driving. Multiple resets did nothing and I decided to keep going while using a combo of the Tesla app and Waze.

It seems like something has a bad connection as the screen came back for a bit and then after a bump it went away again.

Hopefully I can swing into service and get this fixed on a Saturday…

Anyone else have this problem?

I had something similar happen when I attempted to install the screen swivel - the original extension cable that came with the kit had some issue and the screen would not display anything despite multiple attempts. Once I uninstalled the swivel and went back to the OEM cable it worked again…to my GREAT relief! So I would check the cable connection to the screen (just remove the plastic cover and 2 bolts to access)

Had same issue….the connection going into the screen had to be flipped over( not sure why)…the fix for me was to plug in the factory connection, once the screen was on, I used a black marker to mark the top of the wire plugging into the screen. I then added the extension wire and confirmed it turned the screen on and tightened the bolts, etc. Hope this helps.

So here’s what’s weird: after I noticed that the screen seemed to lose/gain power after going over bumps and would sometimes come back after being parked I stopped putting my phone on a MagSafe mount that sits on the top left of the screen and the screen seemed ok again. After adjusting the mount so it wouldn’t flex/vibrate as much the screen worked normally for an entire 4 hr drive. The previous drive was on very bumpy snow covered freeway and I suspect the road vibration was causing the mount to push on something but I can’t imagine any connector being in the top left corner of the screen.
