Hello, wanted to know how many people have a screen protector put on their front and rear screens? I have already purchased from a third party but have a few friends who have a Model X and 3 who don’t have a screen protector. So wondering if I should return mine?

Get a matte one to reduce glare.

Thank you guys, I have the Matte one from TWRAPS. Just wondering if I should put it on or not if a screen protector is even necessary since the screen is mounted and won’t drop like a iPad.

Matte = reduced fingerprints and glare and some scratch resistance

Got matte one from Abstract Ocean. There quality has always been high but a little bit more expensive. Their customer service is top notch. My wife's Y has had their matte screen protector since 2020. No issues.

No offense to these smaller companies, but don't waste your time with any of the ones being pushed by them. I've had teslas for years and the only one worth a damn is from Spigen. Get it on Amazon - and I HIGHLY recommend the matte one. I bought one from one of the forum sponsors back in April because the Spigen one wasn't available yet, but the day they released it I ordered it and couldn't wait to rip off that cover I had on there.

Simply no comparison in quality and ease of install. You will not regret going with the Spigen. Period.

I just installed a spigen Matte (I couldn’t find gloss) tempered glass cover for the rear screen only. It looks good and fit perfectly. I am not as worried about the front screen. The back is more because of my kids and dogs potentially scratching it.

I do recommend getting one, the peace of mind alone is worth it.

Offense taken! j/k, but to be clear (and of course I'm bias), the Spigen protector is made of inferior soda-lime glass (aka 'regular glass'), does not have a lifetime warranty and does not have an ionic anti-bacterial coating. They do a great job in terms of marketing and ease of install, but quality-wise their protector is no different than a $20 special on Amazon. Our protector is more expensive due to the raw material cost being 4.5x the cost of soda-lime glass, but I'm confident it's the best option available.

SOLD. Just ordered. Plus I have been waiting for a Matte Tempered glass solution, good timing.

Yeah, I need to do better with spreading the word. Apparently the money I shove into the black hole of Google and Meta isn't doing it. We've only had it for a couple of months, it took a LONG time to get a screen so we could design the installation template. Learned the hard way from the early Model 3 days not to trust design schematics.

Ordered!

By the way, I also ordered the trim tools but the product description for those only lists the Rivian.
