Seat Cover Question

I’m sure this is a stupid question but my assumption is for those who bought seat covets they wanted to protect their seats…

So my question is, if seat covers are used long term are there any issues with the original seat such as deforming, discoloration, scratching, etc?

I installed seat covers in my cybertruck and previously in my model 3. I have not noticed anymore wearing on the seats in my model 3 than when I didn't have seat covers on them. I pretty big, so put a lot of wear and tear on my seats as is.

Had seat covers on my M3 for 4 years and seats looked liked new when I sold it. Have them on the MYP and CTB. As a testament to how they protect seats,my 06 Ford GT supercar has had them for a long time-they also show little wear. Besides sun dye over time good seat covers prevent sweat,chemical residue ect from wearing the seats. I believe in them.

I installed seat covers from @Foronetry mostly due to the look to match the white FS trim, the protection helps. I have not noticed any negative effects on the original seats

getsometom….those look great and install looks perfect….was install that bad….I’ve seen a few videos and it doesn’t look too difficult but all of them say give yourself 3-4hrs?

it looks like his seat covers were the same as mine. Giving yourself about two to three hours is useful. Also I recommend not doing it in freezing weather haha.

Has anyone found “off road” style (aka easy to clean while looking rugged plus allow for ventilation/heat) seat covers for the CT?
