I was and still confused about how the RN being picked for the invite. In order spreadsheet, one WA RN 11274xxxx didn't received the invite until mid of February.you'll never guess what 400/7 is...

So, yeah, I'm spot on.
The RN seems to be all over the place in general. Who is receiving trucks in what order has nothing to do with RN, and who is getting invites to order can be random also. People with super early RNs were not picked until very late. Others with later RNs were picked early. At first I thought the state had something to do with it. If tesla didn't intend to send trucks to anywhere but CA and TX for 2 months, then maybe they didn't send the invites there for 2 months. But the order sheet proved that theory wrong. Very few 12/8 and 12/9 invites were outside of CA and TX, but plenty of 12/15 invites were all over the country.I was and still confused about how the RN being picked for the invite. I understand RN is only one variable. Different states or even different SC locations made a lot difference. But for same state, same SC, they should follow the RN, otherwise what else they can follow? DEI??PPL assumes that RN# bears an orderly line for purchasing. I disagree! I think Tesla has always had an algorithm and RN# is just one part of the formulation.
This is why I am always puzzled as to why ppl on forums always ask "What's your RN#?? What's your order date??" in an attempt to gauge where they are in-line for spec-out and delivery.
Cheers!

I think they have batched all reservations from each day together. In other words, it didn't matter if you reserved as soon as it was announced reservations were open or waited an hour. I'm glad they did it this way because the flood of reservations caused the site to go down (or at least become non-responsive). Because of that it took me nearly 45 minutes of frantically trying to make a reservation for it to stick.I understand RN is only one variable. This Isn't the case for sure, i never owned a Tesla, my RN is much later than the one with 11274xxx, but i received the invite much earlier. Some SC. Totally confused. They may addiitonal criteria such as (I am speculating here) Existing Tesla Owners (understands that the car is "different") , Who doesnt b!tch and moan for little things (this is the first batch, no need to get unwarranted bad press that goes viral on social media) Geo Location and RN#
