I have an electric 110 volt Warn winch that I use to winch animal carvasses into the bed. The inclined bed makes it so much easier.

Is that winch enough to provide real assistance in an extraction situation? With pulleys?

It is only rated for 1,000 pounds of suspended weight. With pulleys that pull could be improved, probably enough to pull a vehicle horizontally, or to at least help move a vehicle horizontally.

Common mistake to think a winch needs to be able to vertically lift the entire weight of a truck as you know. Physics is a little more complicated than that. Especially since the car’s axles and electric motors are almost never completely out of the equation.
