Hello all, I have a stain/spot on my door that’s been there since delivery. My truck was filthy on delivery and I had to leave for a work trip the next day so I didn’t get around to cleaning it for the first time until a week later.

I have included some images to show the spot. I’m well beyond the 100 miles, so taking it back to Tesla for a fix is not possible anymore.

So far I have tried regular dish soap, power washers, wd40, sprayway, windex, rubbit rinse less wash and none of them have made a dent in the stain.

I have citrisurf 77 and that’s where I’m likely heading next to see if it can fix the spot. But I’m trying to avoid any products that might polish/scratch the surface or require a uniform application to the rest of the truck to match.

Anyone have any last ditch suggestions before I try citrisurf 77 and if that fails bar keepers friend?

It almost appears like a film of some sort like from shipping clear tape or same type of appearance. I would try something that is slightly abrasive, but only on a tiny area of the blemish. Maybe like a soft scrub, comet, or even the Bar Keeps Friend. I hear the BKF has several versions, some less abrasive than others. Maybe Goop Off or the like?

I would start with some denatured alcohol. Not rubbing alcohol. If that didn't affect it I'd try acetone. Using like an old washcloth, shop rag or similar.

I have a similar issue with my Cybertruck and, reaching out to a SME specializing in Cybertruck detailing, he informed me that it’s a sanding mark. The only way to remove it is to sand it out. Tesla provides detailed instructions on sanding the finish. I contacted a local Tesla-certified body shop that has undergone training on Cybertruck sanding but hasn’t performed the task yet. I’m not sure I want to be their guinea pig. In the meantime, I’ll likely purchase a slow orbital sander and the Tesla-recommended pads to test the process on a small spot at some point.

Ok, some good suggestions here. I’m gonna go to the store this afternoon and pickup some goo gone, denatured alcohol, acetone to give those a try. Already have a bottle of citrisurf 77 if all else fails.

I absolutely suck at doing any type of body work, which is the thought of sanding terrifies me. I’m really praying it doesn’t need to be sanded.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I’ll report back my success or lack of success in a few days. ?

Hello, I have the same problem at the deliver, the solution is buffer with a little compound, now to wash it, you need to use a soap with Ph. I have a detail shop, and we sell that kind of soap.
