I was curious about this so asked Grok what they could be charged with, here is the response:

Primary Charge: Vandalism / Criminal Mischief / Criminal Damage to Property

This is the most frequently applicable charge when someone deliberately urinates on another person’s car (or throws urine on it).

• Urinating on the vehicle can be seen as defacing, damaging, or impairing the use of someone else’s property, even if the “damage” is temporary (e.g., requiring cleaning to remove odor or residue).

• In many states, this falls under misdemeanor vandalism or criminal mischief statutes if the cost of cleanup/repair is low (often under $1,000 or so).

• Penalties typically include fines, probation, community service, and possibly restitution (paying for professional detailing or cleaning).

• If the damage exceeds a certain threshold (varies by state, e.g., $1,000+ in some places), it could escalate to a felony.

• Examples from legal discussions and cases: Throwing urine or similar acts on a car has been treated as criminal mischief (a misdemeanor in places like Texas).

Additional or Alternative Charges

• Public Urination / Disorderly Conduct — Almost every state and many cities prohibit urinating in public or in view of the public (including on private property like a parked car if visible).

• Indecent Exposure / Public Indecency — Less common for this specific act (since the focus is on the vehicle, not lewd intent toward people), but possible if the urination involves exposure in a way deemed lewd, especially in front of witnesses or children. This could be a misdemeanor, and in rare cases (repeat offenses or aggravating factors), it might carry sex offender registration risks.

• Harassment — If it’s targeted at a specific person (e.g., an ex or neighbor) and part of a pattern, it could support a harassment charge or even grounds for a protective order.

I’d definitely press charges. They can cover the cost of getting your CT detailed.

Terrible that there are people who would do that.... I would send to that WHAM channel and I would definitely file a report.... If no consequences, unfortunately they will boldly continue and probably escalate damage

Odds are filing a report will take a ton of your time and not result in any meaningful outcome. I also had someone do something annoying to my truck, put an obscene sticker on it. It peeled off with no damage, so despite it being about assassination and having a vulgar picture, there was nothing that was going to happen to the person who put that sticker on my truck if I filed a report. Unless his urine was made of super glue or spray paint, the damage is already gone, the cops have better things to do.

Wham Bam is a great idea though. I have had one submission, it took me all of 10 minutes to do the submission process. Mine made it on and it was cool seeing it on YouTube. In this case you get way more exposure than filing a report and the damages to these vandals will be more significant. Perhaps their employer sees the video? Way more likely these guys are shamed or impacted from being seen by over 100k people.

Report. Police are here to serve and protect, and I’m sure they won’t feel that their time is being ”wasted”.

Well, it finally happened to me.
Here are two of the biggest idiots ever.
I have Sentry Pro that indicated an alert and honked the fire truck horn that scared them initially but the idiots actually came back. They really wanted to capture quality footage to share.

Make sure you have Sentry Pro and make sure you always have Sentry Mode enabled on exit.

I'm sure he fived high his buddy after this great ploy.
