Sentry Mode Preview on Android

If I'm wrong about this apologies in advance. But, sentry mode preview clips have been available for multiple months now for iPhone users, correct? From all of my searching online it seems like the feature still has not rolled out to Android. I'm typically pretty patient, but around a half a year and still no function for Android users is making me bummed. Then when I think ahead to features like the new suspension change in the app, and the coming soon ASS function, it seems like android users might have to wait another half year to get those as well.

FWIW, I'm on the Google Pixel 9. So, it's not like it's a wildly outdated Android phone either.

Posting mainly to check and see if I'm wrong and then open up discussion to maybe what causes this or if I'm doing anything wrong. Love my CT and just jealous of iPhone users who get everything first ?

i have a Z fold 6 They treat us android users like the redheded stepchild. also same with not being able to use galaxy smart watch as key.

Works fine on my Galaxy S24. I've received them since I got my truck in May, but recent updates have made them more frequent.

It's not all sentry events, it's just alarmed events like someone trying to open the door, someone shaking the truck, potentially someone hitting the truck hard. My wife has an Iphone and we receive them at the same frequency.

Still waiting for that auto-frunk open option for us Android users at all.

The gap is way too wide for iPhone users to get this feature and us Androiders to still wait...

This is also available for Android users and has been since the last update.

It is? I will have to check it out. Last I looked, the auto frunk open option was shaded out.

Your phone must be capable of UWB and then you have to turn it on in the truck.

Yeah, surprised me the other day. I was washing the truck the other day and heard three beeps before the frunk opened. I think I also remember an app warning about advanced connectivity or something.

Are you talking about the text based notification that says that? If so, I do get those. About once a day my truck won't realize my phone key is near and when I try and open the door I'll get an alert saying that someone tried to open the door. I'm talking specifically about the ability to view video clips and save them within the app.

Those text are letting you know there is a sentry preview. The preview will only be there until the event is resolved in your app. Click on Security & Drivers, then Sentry Mode Recording Preview. The ones where you hit the door before the key go away almost instantly. That's how it's designed, it's not overly useful IMO.

Maybe I am just really misunderstanding what Tesla says they are offering, but I thought it would function like in the video below where you could see the entire library of sentry clips, dash cam, etc on your phone and then save clips.

I don't have that option on Iphone or Andorid on the CT or my MS.

That is also different from Sentry Mode Recording Previews.
