I dropped off my truck at the service center a few hours ago, but now I’m seeing that its location is showing up a few miles away at a shopping center, and it indicates that the door is open. The tracking has always been accurate in the past, showing the correct location and when things like doors were opened or closed when in service mode or at service centers. This seems unusual to me. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

This has happened to my X many times. There is a supercharger at the mall they take it there to check the charging. Left the doors open and AC on to drain the battery. But my X was having charging issues.
What’s yours in for?

GPS accuracy can vary, especially if it is inside a garage without being able to hear the satellites well.

Take a non-road GPS (i.e. marine or one without maps) and leave it on overnight. You will see in the morning that the GPS left your house and went for trips, sometimes a mile away. They just don't work the way that people think they do.

And for mobile GPS, there's a algorithm that pins them on a road. If it isn't moving, that routine can't function.
