Side mirror cameras location

Never noticed the placement of the side mirror cameras until seeing this photo. Pretty cool that it's on the fender, but that will probably require frequent cleaning considering its location so close to the wheels/tires.

These cameras are for Autopilot and can be used for mirrors as well. Other Tesla Models have them integrated in the side turn lights without any problem.

Autopilot has currently 8 cameras that are used for sentry mode, back up camera, light sensor, rain sensor other than all the ADAS.

It's from 2018, with an audi a4.. reading through this has given me hope that Tesla can satisfy them and finally remove mirrors
