Ford declared $25 billion dollars in profits last year. With a b. An increase of over 9% over last year. And there was a 9% over the year before. And the year before that, it was ~20% over year two prior. This is, of course, after wages, which haven't been keeping pace with inflation.

And they're asking for 6-hour shifts.
Saying 'oh no, that's alot of money!' Is dumb, to run 24-hour shifts you don't pay everyone to come in and staff the full 24 hours. You don't need all the administrative, maintenance, janitorial, etc staff to be there all the time. Yeah, they have more work to do, but it's not 2x more. Things scale.
And, they're already paying these workers. So taking the whole number ignores that these workers are already getting ~75% of the wages and 100% of the benefits already.
