Thanks for posting. I had this exact sound going on. I spent the better part of the day thumping, inserting foam, etc. This appears to have solved my issue.

2026 Beast March build and have the same rattle. Glad it’s an easy to reproduce and fix but I’d prefer not to jam a piece of felt. It appears to be a plastic color that does not clamp properly. Has any one had it replaced by the service center?

took a test drive, and I'm 99% sure I heard this rattle! (2 weeks ago). I swear it was just under the steering wheel.

They make NVH like pads for cars/anything. It's like small felt or rubbery cushion and has a sticky side. I've had to use a bunch in my 2023 Model X.
Rattles KILL me and make me want to drive it into a tree.

these things fixed my center console rattle. just cut to size and squeeze them in places that rattle.

Rattles cut through my brain worse than anything.
Especially if I can't find the source.
Took months to find one on my 2019X. Finally had some help on the tesla forum, and solved it < 1 min! (plastic clip on hatch).

I just cut down some weatherstripping (the same stuff I used to dustproof the tailgate gap) and followed the forum instructions for adding the strips in the problem area. So far, rattle is gone gone. It was very pronounced on certain roads and certain conditions.

I found a few posts on fb owners saying it was an easy fix by the service center. Since I’m one day in and if I find anything else needing service I’ll add it to the list.
