And you've posited the question that started it all! ? I believe, and my interpretation isn't worth more than anyone else's since he passed on without definitively answering (thankfully!), PKD's point was we're all sheep of some type. Even when we don't realize it. Or want to. But it only matters when we let it. Or choose to. If we really have a choice, that is. And what difference does a choice make in the end? Except, ultimately, to yourself. Masterful.

Plenty of corollaries, IMO, in our pursuit and coveting of these vehicles too, btw... ???
