How do you figure this retains the full towing capacity?

The tongue weight limit is 1,100 lbs. and the towing capacity is 11,000 lbs. Assuming you want to maintain the 10% rule (tongue weight is 10% of trailer weight), then for every 100 lbs. you add to the hitch you lose 1,000 lbs. of towing capacity. The spare tire alone weighs over 100 lbs. and I imagine the tire carrier weighs in at another 50 lbs. This implies a loss of 1,500 lbs. of towing capacity.

How heavy is the carrier anyway?

This leaves aside the question of why people think they need to carry a spare tire at all, when we have ubiquitous communication and tire repair kits and the fact that modern tires are very reliable when properly maintained.
Doesn't impact my 3 trailers, they are all below 11,000 gvwr.

V3 with the bollards removed no problem; V2 with bollard is a little tight but no problem if you have a spotter.

I wasn't talking about your 3 trailers, I was talking about your claim that it retains the full towing capacity of the Cybertruck. Clearly it doesn't.

Facts matter. It's always better to admit it than it is to move the goalposts.

I generally use my rear camera as my "spotter" when I back up to a Supercharger. There might not be anyone with me!

That’s a hard no for me. The spare does not outweigh the issues you have added
-no rear camera
-no self park
-poor departure angle
-supercharger parking
-possible negative FSD characteristics.

I am not affiliated with RiGd. You must be fun at parties.

I'm thinking about how I could modify the bumper and hitch to fix the departure angle angle issue before I take it to Moab. Just using it for a road trip so far. I'm confident I can fix the camera issue when I have time.

After 5,100kms, and 29 Supercharging stops, I have learned how to back in by myself and there were only 2-3 locations where stalls were installed side by side for charging from both sides that were a problem.

I drove 22k miles in less than six months and drove from NJ to FL, NJ to TX and LA and back and did not have tire issue. But then, last week near my home and 5 miles from Tesla center I had a flat tire which was towed to Tesla center and took me 3 days to have it changed because they didn't have the tire in stock. I shudder at the thought of having it in a remote stretch of Arizona or some place. So tire carrier is must and there has to be a good solution for this problem

There is a good solution to the problem and it's called a tire plug. Don't get the mushroom style ones, they are unreliable. Use the gummy worms. Some punctures are repairable as good as new, others should be considered temporary, usually if too much of the cord structure inside the tire has been cut. I've never had a flat I couldn't repair easier than changing out a flat for a spare tire.

Keeping your tires well inflated can avoid avoid most non-puncture flats, I run mine as high as I can without getting uneven wear across the tread. In my use case that's about 51-52 PSI stone cold, first thing in the morning. That translates to around 55 PSI after I've driven a while and the day has warmed up. If your TPMS says 51 PSI after you've been driving in the middle of the day you are under-inflated for the highway.

The best flat tire is no flat tire, so watch for hazards on the surface you are driving on too.
