When I click on the selection in the app for Supercharging membership, it says “for your other EV.” Why for another EV? Do I already receive a lower price for a Tesla CyberTruck for some reason?
(Rookie here … lol)
Note, I pick up the CT on Saturday. Does that matter? Maybe it won’t allow the membership happen until I pick up the new vehicle?

Other EV, meaning if you have another non-Tesla EV. No membership needed if you own a Tesla Vehicle since your already in the club.

Where did you hear about this cheaper pricing? They are just charging other non-Tesla eVs more.

That pricing is for EVs that are not Tesla. When you plug in with a Tesla at a Supercharger it simply looks to see that you have a credit card attached to your Tesla account and that your account is in good standing. Charging starts at whatever rate/cost it is for that time at that specific Supercharger. Most Supercharges are cheaper at off-peak times.

No such thing as “cheaper” charging when you have a Tesla. Or is whatever it is when you plug in.

It's for non-Teslas using the Supercharger network.

Teslas are added by default and once a credit card gets attached to the account, Teslas will receive the lowest rates.

This is a relatively new thing.

I guess it is a relative point of view since the cents per kw rate was never really known to changed for Tesla owners through opening it up to non-Tesla vehicles.

Huh?

The cents per kW rate are posted for every location, unless the state doesn't allow direct electrical sales, in which case there's a semi-convoluted price per minute calculation.

Exactly my point you really can't tell if you were getting a discount as a Tesla vehicle compared to non-tesla vehicles at the time the non-tesla vehicles were grandfathered in.

Why not?

Members pay the same or more than Teslas do. Non-Members definitely pay more.
